"Dominoes, More Than A Game"
Making Good Decisions
"We believe the most important relationship in our country today and tomorrow is the relationship between the police and the community." Travis Newsome 2015
Each high school will have the responsibility of creating a program through their domino club to help improve the police/community relationship. There will also be a competition to determine the best and most effective community engagement initiative by high schools with the anticipation of duplicating such programs in other similar cities. Success often comes from making good decisions. The game of dominoes is no exception. To be successful at dominoes, players will have to focus and make good decisions in the following areas:
* critical thinking * deductive reasoning * memory * probability analysis * logical reasoning * managing adversity
Additional benefits from students that excel in the program are:
* self-esteem * school pride * neighborhood pride * improved social skills * DISCIPLINE
